The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a new operation to investigate a deadly “mystery illness” emerging in Africa that the United Nations (UN) agency is calling “Disease X.”
“Disease X” is a new killer virus that has left doctors and scientists baffled.
The illness has already claimed 143 lives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa.
In its latest report, the WHO described the flu-like symptoms of “Disease X,” stating:
“Panzi health zone in Kwango Province of Democratic Republic of the Congo recorded 406 cases of an undiagnosed disease with symptoms of fever, headache, cough, runny nose, and body ache.” […]
