The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that Hamas has not provided a list of hostage names “up to this point,” in statement released on Sunday.

Last week, Israel revealed parts of a report it has drafted and plans to submit to the United Nations that details the abuse hostages are being subjected to in Hamas captivity based on the condition of hostages who were released in a November 2023 deal and hostages that were rescued during military operations.

Health Minister Uriel Busso, whose ministry led the efforts in compiling the report, said it “depicts the atrocities that hostages suffered and reveals to the world the cruelty of the enemies we are dealing with.” He added, “These testimonies serve as a wake-up call to the international community. The world needs to see the reality of what hostages endured – and what those still in captivity continue to face.”

According to the Jerusalem Post, extensive testimonies from released hostages in the report detail how they were intentionally separated from other kidnapped family members in captivity and that children who were taken hostage were forced to watch videos of the October 7 atrocities. […]

He began by cautioning those who have spoken out in support of him not to direct their anger toward the prison, but rather toward the UK government for keeping him in isolation. He revealed that he was required to write his response on his opinion of his solitary confinement to the government, which he has. It stated, “This doesn’t have to happen.”

“When I came in here I sat down with a psychiatrist and I said to her, ‘What’s nine months of solitary confinement going to do to me?’ She said it’s going to be devastating to your mental health.’ So I said ‘Why are they doing it?'”

He also detailed how he has been required to meet with governors and mental health professionals every two weeks for as long as he is held in isolation, noting that this past time he met with them he told them “I feel different.”

Primary school students will learn weapons safety and how to handle weapons while secondary school students will learn how to shoot and shooting safety. They will use ball guns, air guns, replicas of small arms, virtual and laser ranges. The weaponry classes are mandatory for all students, many of whom say it’s a good idea. One high school student said “it feels good to hit the target” while another said “it’s a good idea. Life is scary these days, so you have to be prepared for anything.”

The regulation was signed in 2022 by Education and Science Przemyslaw Czarnek. The nation, a member of NATO, has been watching as its neighbor Ukraine has been invaded by Russia and has been fighting for its autonomy ever since. That invasion, in February 2022, has disrupted the region. Students at 18,000 schools in Poland will get the firearms education and receive the equipment necessary for the training.

Parents, too, have spoken out in favor of the regulation, saying that it will aid students in the even that they have to defend Poland. It also instills a sense of patriotism, one mother said. The embassy closure does not mean that Israel is cutting off diplomatic relations with Ireland, which will continue to operate an embassy in Tel Aviv. But it does suggest that Israel is not prepared to mutely accept criticism from some Western countries who have clearly rejected Israel’s ongoing actions fighting terrorism in Gaza. The most recent conflict began on October 7, 2023, when Palestinian terrorists stormed across the border and massacred 1,200 Israelis, kidnapping another 200. The more aggressive posture is said to be a result of Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar who is more of a diplomatic hawk, according to The Times.

“Ireland has crossed every red line in its relations with Israel,” Saar said in a statement on Sunday, promising that “Israel will invest its resources in advancing bilateral relations with countries worldwide according to priorities that also take into account the attitudes and actions of these states toward Israel.” Israel will be opening a new embassy in Moldova, where the government has not criticized Israeli war policy. “The relations between Israel and Moldova are friendly and both countries seek to expand and deepen them,” Saar said.

Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris, style=”text-decoration:none”>said it is “deeply regrettable” that Israel has decided to shutter the embassy. He insisted that Ireland is not opposed to the state of Israel. “I utterly reject the assertion that Ireland is anti-Israel. Ireland is pro-peace, pro-human rights and pro-international law.”

Israel had already recalled its ambassador to Ireland in May and has taken the same action in Spain and Norway after all three countries recognized Palestine as an independent state. Ireland is apparently downplaying the embassy closure and emphasizing that Ireland and Israel would “continue to maintain diplomatic relations. Inherent in that is the right to agree and disagree on fundamental points,” Micheál Martin, said in a statement, adding, “We need an immediate cease-fire, the release of all hostages and a surge of humanitarian aid into Gaza.” […]

The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) posted a statement to their website on August 12 that read they “noted a concern brought to the Board on the off-label use of drugs on children with gender dysphoria.”

It continued: “The EXCO has issued an advisory to practitioners that the off-use label drugs needs to be done with care, consent and be based on scientific evidence. Practitioners are advised to adhere to the above-mentioned advisory.”

The HPCSA then stated in early November that “it can be expected that a policy, guide or even a position statement will shortly follow to embellish on the [August 12] statement previously made.”

They clarified to the health professional watchdog group First Do No Harm South Africa, which has brought attention to the lack of evidence surrounding sex changes for minors, that their warning was “meant as a holding measure whilst the [medical] board consults with practitioners who may be implicated in this practice. Trump, who will be inaugurated on January 20, repeatedly criticized US support for Ukraine during his campaign and asserted that he could achieve a ceasefire within hours. Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, told Fox News on Tuesday that Ukraine would lose the war if Washington withdrew its funding.

In order to mitigate the threat to civilians, the United States has requested that Ukraine restrict the use of mines to its own territory and to areas that are devoid of population. This is the latest weapons shipment announced by the US since the Nov. 5 election.

The Kremlin also denied on Wednesday that it was involved in the cutting of telecommunications cables that ran beneath the Baltic Sea. European officials conveyed their suspicion on Tuesday that the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is associated with the “hybrid warfare” and “sabotage” that occurred as a result of the cutting of two telecommunications cables in the Baltic Sea within 48 hours. Peskov told reporters: “It’s quite absurd to keep blaming Russia for everything without any grounds. It is laughable in the context of the lack of any reaction to Ukraine’s sabotage activities in the Baltic Sea.” […]

Quetta Division Commissioner Hamza Shafqat confirmed the current death toll and that the attack was a suicide attack, according to CNN. The blast, which occurred around 9 am, caused widespread chaos as people ran for safety amidst the carnage. Senior Police Superintendent Muhammad Baloch confirmed that the platform was full of passengers at the time.

The province’s chief minister has ordered an inquiry into the attack. According to a report by Politico, two anonymous administration officials confirmed that speeding up aid delivery is the White House’s only option to ensure continued support for Ukraine. However, logistical challenges mean that much of the equipment and munitions will take months to reach Ukraine after being announced. This delay may allow a future Trump administration to cancel shipments before they are fully sent out.

A significant barrier to faster delivery, Politico reported, is that the US can only send equipment currently in its stockpiles. Although funds are allocated to reimburse the Pentagon, aid deployment depends on the speed of production for new artillery and weaponry.

“We have been sending whatever industry can produce each month, but the problem is you can only send these things as they are produced,” explained Mark Cancian, a former Department of Defense budget official. “The administration could dip into the stockpiles and send equipment more quickly, but it’s unclear the Pentagon would want to do that since it would affect its own readiness.”

Other students filmed the event on their smartphones and watched as security guards came to interrupt her protest. She began her protest on the campus of Tehran’s Azad University, where female students are forced to wear head coverings. Security personnel surrounded her and became abusive in detaining the woman.

Several witnesses told The Telegraph that the student was sent to local detention facilities after she was arrested by campus security and physically removed from the area. At least 10 security guards can be seen on video forcing the woman into a vehicle.

“Oh God, how many of them are attacking just one person?” asked one witness. “I can’t believe what I’m seeing,” another noted.

“Around noon, near the entrance of the faculty, I saw a girl being grabbed and forcibly taken by security forces,” one witness told The Telegraph. “She wasn’t wearing a headscarf.
