Federal authorities apprehended two more illegal aliens facing charges for violent crimes who were running loose on Nantucket Island.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released details about apprehensions that unfolded during a recent operation in the wealthy Massachusetts enclave.
On Sept. 11, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Boston agents captured Felix Alberto Perez-Gomez, a 41-year-old citizen of Guatemala who has been previously deported.
Perez-Gomez first entered the U.S. at an unknown location and date before being convicted of reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person in Pennsylvania in 2011.
He was removed from the country in 2011, but snuck back in at an unknown location and date.
“The Nantucket District Court arraigned Perez Aug. 19, 2024, for indecent assault and battery on a person 14 years or older,” ICE explained in a press release.
Perez-Gomez was apparently released back into the community before being picked up by ICE this month. […]
